30 minutes of stair training- new study
I'm not a fan of stairs in general but I don't avoid them. Using stairs as exercise is just another option to help maintain fitness levels if you can't find the gym time.
This is just another aspect of interval training. Use different methods of getting your heart rate up rather than allowing your body to acclimate to one type of exercise. So stairs are good, but I'd add walking, calisthenics, racket drills, and tennis.
