Berdych - the benchmark
You have to feel bad for a guy that can stay in the top ten and still not take the prize. Worse yet is the abuse by those who couldn't likely win points against him on the court but enjoy scoring in words.
Hopefully he can at least make a good living and career out of it so that some day he'll retire as the owner of the tennis training facility. I can think of worse fates than to be a guy who spent a good part of his life hitting tennis balls for a living, traveling, and getting paid for it. Overall, I don't consider him a failure at all. I'd happily take his spot as foil for the masters and as a gatekeeper for those wanting to enter the elites.
