 It is bad and most tennis coaches and good players know it.  The questions that the journalists ask tennis players are often beyond stupid.

It's a good interview and on point. Tennis media, in general, is bad news. I see many tennis journos praising their favorites, and they spend their remaining time attacking players that aren't.

Do We Need to Police Tennis Coaching?

 I like to think of elite coaches as World Class Chefs while others know how to run a fast food joint and put out the volume with palatable results that fill stomachs on the cheap. You need the spectrum. You even need so-called inferior coaches just as much as you need people with quirky personalities so you have a basis and reference points for judging the norm. If you have a norm in a skill set, then you can judge the superior ones and even the brilliant. Should we only allocate court time for players and teachers above a certain skill level? We need anyone willing to share the game with others, and even volunteers with limited skills and knowledge have a place just like parents coaching kids as volunteers. I had a former college player as a team coach once and I learned little from him while a music teacher volunteer turned out the be the one who got all the kids out to play, including me. I suggest that it's best to help other teachers move forward and not drive them out.

What has happened to American Men's Professional Tennis

Everything goes in cycles. The USA had its turn for a long time. Australia had a great run. and probably will again. Eastern and Southern Europe is strong right now while Western Europe is about to lose the Swiss footprint after Fed retires and odds are we won't see another top Swiss player for a generation. I'm waiting for Asia to fill the ranks. When it comes to tennis, I dont see flags especially when it comes to favorite players. Right now, I lean Serbian. Coaching, and education here in the USA can only produce top results from committed students. We have too many distractions which is one of the curses of an easy life and wealth.

Novak - the most dominant player of the last decade

 The numbers prove it.   More wins combined than Fed and Rafa.

This is the best way to measure dominance rather than a popularity contest.
