Cardio Risk for Tennis Players and Coaches
Poor Arthur Ashe comes to mind. and is a perfect example. I think that he mentioned that he never contemplated a cardio risk prior to his heart attack since he was in such great shape and an athlete. He thought his diet didn't matter. That was the state of knowledge at the time so it was understandable. I've known some tough, well-conditioned, but aging players that had cardiac events. I've had a few scares myself and keep track of it. I know other pros that have never seen a doctor. Bless them. We're all one cardiac event away from retirement, disability, or a quick exit.

Diet: Vegetarians
Our Human Ancestors were nearly all vegetarians
Just avoid extreme diets and you'll hopefully avoid the risks associated with them. It's probably easier now to eat healthy as a vegetarian than before. Even if you don't go that approach it may pay to increase fiber, fresh vegetables, and fruit to round out your diet.

Diet: Chicken Production Questions for your health
$5 Chicken at Costco
So the question is how does this work in terms of healthy food. Can you find better quality? It's so hard to determine when it comes to this kind of product though I have noticed that organic chicken does seem to taste better without all of the added ingredients that go with Rotisserie Chicken.
As for taste, I've tried the Rotisserie Chicken at various food stores and yes it is wonderful, but is it wonderful for you. I'd probably limit my intake and save it for those nights you choose carry out for dinner.
It's always best to prepare your own for cost and health, generally.

Eating After 8pm - Death Wish
After 8pm Meals
Metabolic syndrome. Well, it has taken them this long to figure this out, the experts. Every decade and now every two years another FAD comes our way that is replaced by so called research. Most people learned by experience that excess carbs added weight. This is long time knowledge from observation and doctors going back to the 50's and 60's already had this tidbit though they often didn't pass it along to patients. Now it appears that the best way to manage your food intake is to have a long time between dinner and breakfast and if you eat after 8pm and then go to bed by 9 or 10 then yes it will be a problem. Also, it seems to matter what type of food you're eating. It would be nice if they would settle on something rather than this moving target for how to live in a healthy fashion.

Health: Dogs for Health, Pickle Juice for cramps
Dogs can detect illness in humans
This of course would cost the medical establishment money so it explains why it isn't being pursued rapidly. It's better to spend billions on cancer research and little on early detection and prevention. Dogs could save many lives.

As with almost anything you can probably overdo it simply based on the fat content. I probably wouldn't eat more than one a day or maybe half of one.

Diet: Low carb or low fat? Who knows!
Low carb or low fat
After all of these decades of so called expert advice it seems they, the experts, don't know. For a while it was carb loading, then get rid of gluten, low fat diets, high protein diets, and a long list that now includes a paleo diet. Who knows? It appears the experts don't agree either.
It is clear that if you subsist on carbs mostly that it usually adds fat to the waistline. Excessive carb intake has many negative effects and conversion to sugar in the system of one of them.
Excessive fat intake has its own worries. This was part of the Atkins diet that was high in fat and protein.
Heavy protein intake also creates issues for many people.
With all of this in mind it seems that a balanced diet still makes sense.
